Joe Farrell is President and founder of Farrell Building Company, the largest builder of luxury custom and speculative homes in the Hamptons (the East end of Long Island, New York).
In 1995 Mr. Farrell left his very lucrative position on Wall Street as a member of the New York Mercantile Exchange to fulfill his childhood dream of building homes. He founded Farrell Building Company that builds on the East End of Long Island in the international resort community known as “The Hamptons”.
Farrell Building Company is now the largest builder of luxury custom and speculative homes in the Hamptons ranging in size from 5,000 to 20,000 square feet and in price from $2.5million to 20 million. Over twenty homes per year are built in less than twelve months. On any given day the company employs between 400 and 500 workers and sub-contractors. Farrell Building Company’s reputation for quality, value and efficiency serves as the basis for its impressive client list. A-listers from the business sector and well-known names from the entertainment industry are amongst some of Farrell’s customers.
In 2007 this staggering success and the company’s exponential growth rate attracted the Washington DC based private equity firm The Carlyle Group. Carlyle subsequently invested $100 million dollars in a joint venture with Farrell Building to build luxury homes throughout the Hamptons.
Farrell Building has been acknowledged by the Long Island Builder’s Institute winning their annual award for Custom Super Luxury Home and Custom Ultra Luxury Home in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006.
The company has just engaged in its first local project with Habitat for Humanity and continues to support the Southampton Youth Services organization, a local indoor sport facility and program center catering to neighborhood children and families.
