Dr. Stephen R. Covey is the author of several acclaimed books, including the international bestseller, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which has sold more than 20 million copies in 38 languages throughout the world. Other New York Times bestsellers include Principle-Centered Leadership, First Things First (the #1 hard cover time management book of all time), The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families (the #1 hard cover family book of all time), and The 8th Habit (chosen by Soundview as the best business book in 2005). Approximately 30 million books total have been sold. His 7 Habits audio book is the bestselling audio book of all time. In 1996, he was recognized as one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential Americans. Dr. Covey graduated from the University of Utah, as well as from Harvard and Brigham Young University. He received the U of U and the BYU Alumni Awards and holds 10 honorary doctoral degrees. He is the founder of Covey Leadership Center and co-founder/vice chairman of FranklinCovey Co., widely considered the most influential leadership and effectiveness training firm in the world, with a presence in over 120 countries. He and his wife, Sandra, have nine children and 48 grandchildren (soon to be 50!) and one great-grandchild.
