Dr. Stephen R. Covey & The Essence of Leadership for the 21st Century

Dr. Stephen R. Covey

For over three years, I have shared the essence of hundreds of people from all walks of life, in industry, health care, sciences, philosophy, theology, and beyond. Every one of those thought leaders has shared the same message in their own way. Humanity has reached a tipping point: a point where change will continue to accelerate, a time where the world is interconnected and interdependent and air, water and energy know not of artificial boundaries established by men; a time where the massive changes will last well into 2020; and the only solution is to throw out all previously held axioms and beliefs that inhibit our progess. Hence, the quote from Dr. Covey's book, the Eight Habit, summarizes this point nicely by saying, "The call of this new era in human history is for greatness; it's for fulfillment, passion, execution and significant contribution."

Questions discussed in this inteview: What is the new world order? Why is the world operating on a broken, outdated map? What is moral authority? How does a corporation define it's purpose in the 21st century? Does a family need a mission statement?
